Summer Ends In Hive City

The last day of Summer ends in Hive City on the planet Esmeralda III. Massive Hives, hundreds of feet tall line the banks of the Hormiga River. This is a planet of insects. The Esmeraldans are a race of extremely intelligent social insects, an odd mix of human and ant.

The Esmeraldans are a very old race, nearly as old as the Universe. They began infesting other solar systems billions of years ago. Our own Solar System is home to over 40 trillion Esmeraldans. They colonized the Asteroid Belt and the Oort Cloud billions of years ago!! Three interdimensional craft sail above the Hormiga River. They are off to explore the Other Realms. The Esmeraldans are pathetically shy and extremely introverted and never make contact with other races. Never!!
