Hot Morning On El Calor

The planet El Calor orbits a red-giant star, about 900 light years away. It is a desert world, with daytime temperatures close to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Even here, life exists. Strange plants bloom on top of the dunes in the morning sunlight.

A tiny flying saucer from TeTap II buzzes overhead, in the baking heat of another scorching day...
