Another Universe

Quebakh III oceans have an incredible 50 foot storm surge every day because of its five moons! Most buildings are on stilts. Beautiful red beaches and turquoise skies make this a perfect vacation spot.

Dawn On A Double Planet


Minerva and Athena are identical twin planets that share the same orbit in the Tau Ceti solar system. They orbit roughly the same position Venus takes in our own system. Both planets are waterworlds and too hot to colonize. Daytime temperatures are above 180 degrees!

New Philadelphia


All roads lead to New Philadelphia. The city was rebuilt farther west after The Great Calamity that destroyed Philadelphia. This evening shot was taken in 2018. A crescent moon graces the western sky.

A boiling hot moon made from lava circles a 'hot Jupiter' type planet that is very close to its blue giant sun. The planet rotates the sun in only three days. This nameless planet is in our galaxy in the Delta Quadrant.

Tower On Termiticus


Termiticus is home to an alien race that is a curious mixture of termite and human. The planet is only 20 light years away.
The Termiticans build huge towers that house over a 100 billion souls. The Termiticans also construct artificial moons that encircle their world like a black pearl necklace. Each of these moons contains trillions of beings.
They lost a brutal interstellar war with humans in 2110 and destroyed the planet Saturn with one of their Queen Ships. They never bothered humans again.

Tethys Sea About 200 Million Years Ago


The red and green, tropical Tethys Sea covered most of central Europe during the Mesozoic. You can see a volcano on Gondwanaland on the horizon. It was a beautiful day here, the water was about 90 degrees and full of pleisosaurs!

Serrana IV Twilight


An orange giant star rises above a crater wall on Seranna IV. The star is in the Small Magellanic Cloud. A red moon also glows in the dark skies. Seranna IV is dead now but gave birth to a galactic civilization in its distant past. Soon the star will grow into a red giant and consume the ancient planet.

Red Sky At Morning On Altama

Morning on Altama in the Cyclops Galaxy about 2 billion years ago. The red sky is mostly methane. Wispy green clouds of formaldehyde drift by. The Altamaians are very proud of their capital city Kaleidiscopia. The photo was taken in their industrial era. They eventually went on to colonize millions of planets in their galaxy before dying out millions of years ago. Altamaians would consider our atmosphere poisonous!

Carina Eta Explodes


Carina Eta furiously explodes in a tsunami of unparalleled violence! The blue star is 150 times the size of the sun. The explosion easily melts a terrestrial planet in its wake. An unlucky moon also glows white hot as it meets its fate. A Space Bird observing from 800 million miles away has no chance of escape! The stellar explosion will occur in about a thousand years.

Underneath The Ice On Europa


Took this picture 60 miles underneath the ice sheet on Jupiter's moon Europa. Strange, blue and purple jellyfish-like creatures roam the inky sea. The creatures are phosphorescent and over 20 miles in diameter!

The Road To Paradise On Submin VII


Pilgrims come from all over the Milky Way to walk The Path on Submin VII. Tropical vegetation blooms under a rare golden sun on this rich world.
The road is 25,000 miles long and encircles the globe. The path begins nowhere and ends nowhere.
It simply is.
Pilgrims believe anyone that dies on this blessed world goes to paradise. The planet is towards the center of the galaxy.

Ice Lake On Nimbus VII


This beautiful little world has very low gravity and the hills rise at a sharp angle. A white-dwarf sun is reflected in a pool of frozen ammonia. The atmosphere is almost gone.
There is still life here! The hills glow from a blue, fluorescent algae. Nimbus VII is located at the edge of our galaxy.

Kaeh is a planet around Epsilon Eridani, third closest star to the sun. Kaeh is a terrestrial planet but is graced with twelve moons. Five of these moons surround the Statue of Victory, erected by the first colonists in 2108.

River Of Dreams


Michellina II is a very isolated planet about 300 million light years from Earth. The lonely planet's sun was ejected from the Andromeda Galaxy eons ago and the solar system drifts in intergalactic space. No stars show in its desolate skies. Two moons grace its riparian lanscape.

Martian Canal With Red Weed


This photo was taken 07/04/2576 during the 500th anniversary of the first Martian Colony. Canals crisscross the Red Planet much as Percival Lowell envisioned in the early 1900's. A curious red weed, as mentioned in H.G Well's The War of the Worlds, chokes this canal. The sun shines through the dusty martian sky.

The ruins of Philadelphia still glow an angry orange even after 1,000 years. The city was destroyed in 2010 by a 20 megaton warhead during the first days of The Great Change. The white lines are the remains of its empty streets.

Stunning dawn on a beach on Beryllia!! This is a moon that orbits the orange Jupiter-like planet. in the sky. The planet is also being eclipsed by another of its many moons. The whole system orbits a red giant sun over 50,000 light years from Earth. One of the jewels of the Milky Way!

River Planet


River Planet is in the Hydra star cluster. The planet has 15,000 stars as neighbors within one light year and stars light up the night sky. There is only one main river on this world and it stretches for 4.000 miles.

Autumn on 'Chi


Autumnal vegetation burns on 'Chi, which orbits a star only 150 light years from Earth. It's climate is very similar to temperate zones on our planet but much more intense.

Masonic World


Masonic World orbits Tau Ceti, it was settled in 2109 during the early part of the First Wave. The monument in the foreground honors the first colonists. The purplish moon above the background monument is a watermoon. The ocean is 50 miles deep and the ocean is purple from algae.

Styxx River Sunset on Kafkan IV


The miserable planet was named for Franz Kafka and was settled in 2883. The mocha colored river flows through the capital city of Purcello. You can see a hummingcopter in the upper left. Their star is a red giant and sports gigantic sunspots.

Monument to Earth


This is an old monument to Earth on one of the many thousands of colony worlds. The year is 3404 and the planet is Gandhi III. It also orbits a dual star system. Gravity is 1.4 of earth and no building is over 50 feet tall.

The Monument to Ze'De on Kankedo IV


Ze'De will conquer most of the Milky Way Galaxy 12,000 years from now. The monument is at her birthplace on her home planet of Kankedo.

Maxwell V Parliament Building


This planet is Maxwell V in the Andromeda Galaxy. The planet is much like Earth in the early 20th Century. The dark building is their parliament and the the brown building to the right is their supreme court. The sky is a smoggy brown and makes their sun appear bluish.

Last Day on Titabia II in the Coma Galaxy


This photo was taken moments before their sun went supernova. The blue lake in the background contained an intelligent aquatic lifeform that was extinguished with the planet.
